Music and drama form a big part of life in Scoil Iósaf. Children experience music in the
classroom while also being given the opportunity to act in school plays and performances. Pupils are given the opportunity to explore their musical talents further by engaging with various instruments that are available to all. Such instruments include concertina, violin, flute, guitar, ukulele and tin whistles.

Scoil Iósaf also participates yearly in Peace Proms. Peace Proms is a large scale performance for choirs and orchestras that take place in the University of Limerick. This programme promotes peace through music and gives pupils the opportunity to sing in a large scale production with a choir of up to 3,000 and a full scale youth orchestra. This musical programme is tailor made to ensure that it is fun and engaging for children between 8-12 years. The end performance is an inspiration and thrilling experience for choirs, teachers, parents and audiences alike.
