Scoil Iósaf’s Early Intervention Class is an opportunity for student’s ages between 3 and 5 years who have an Autism diagnosis to avail of a two year preschool education. With a highly skilled, trained and professional staff, each child receives individualised tuition to support their social, communication and academic development. Students learn through one – to- one and small group teaching and play settings and integrate with the mainstream classes as much as possible.

In September 2022, Scoil Iósaf opened a Primary Autism Class. All of our Autism classes have access to our purpose built sensory room, an outdoor play area and access to the main school hall for occupational and physiotherapy sessions. Our aim is to provide a positive, fun and all inclusive learning environments for all of our students while providing them with the skills and abilities to move forward in their educational journey. Pupils in both classes get many opportunities during the year to participate in many extracurricular activities such as swimming, horse-riding, Sport’s Day in UL, local library and playgrounds.
