Grandparents Day took place on Wednesday 30th January 2019 and it was a fantastic success! A special mass for grandparents was celebrated by Canon Frank Duhig in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West. Grandchildren proudly escorted their grandparents from the church back to our school where they were treated to tea and sweet treats to thank them for all that they do for us. They also had the opportunity to go to their grandchild’s classroom to see all the lovely work that is going on there. Thanks to all the grandparents who were able to attend. It was a very special day and one the children will never forget. It truly is such a wonderful relationship between a grandparent and a grandchild!
